The
Last Star
From the
top floor, in a window of the house and terrace
fourth in Black
Square, Jane saw
stars from the
farthest space. She
stared at the night sky through a long telescope which have thick lens. As usual the night, she
expected no
shooting star, and soon Jane shouted "yyakk!”, Jane
immediately bowed her
head, closed
her eyes as if she
had
a huge demand.
Night passed, a sunny morning greeted. As usual, Jane, at table with her mother and father were ready to get breakfast. Jane was not the same with her
friends, she cuold not go to
school, play and pass the beautiful days. It was because Jane had blood
cancer, but her enthusiasm to keep
her life was so great.
The days that she passed
just to stay at home, to go to the
hospital and check up and painting in her beautiful garden.
Day by day passed, the state was no longer as before Jane could stand for several hours, her body began
to weak and could fall many times. That night, from the window where she could see
the stars are beautiful, Jane waited for a falling star, but she did not
see any stars in the dark sky. Today was already late at night, she did not
see any stars. Jane disappointed and closed the curtains tightly. Since
that night, she did not want to see the stars anymore because she felt her hope was lost.
Jane's parents
were very
sad to see their daughter was getting worse, but
they still provide
encouragement to Jane. The third
eve after she
did not see the stars, Jane
suddenly opened a thick lens telescope.
At
that night, she was
so excited to be able to see the stars even with
a very weak condition.
Jane said, "Tonight, I want
to see my hope star for the last time". An hour passed, she
had
not seen any shooting stars, Jane
continued to
be patient to wait in the chair where she took rest with the eyelids could
not wait to clasp. Shortly thereafter, there was a very beautiful
star passed
directly when Jane closed her eyes forever.
