Is An Ambition Positive? Or Negative?

Ambition is a psychological boost a person or group of people trying to achieve a better position to enhance, increase wealth, or add honor. Is an ambition positive or negative characteristic? Is it necessary for success or not? In many situations and conditions, an ambition is highly regarded. An ambition can show right path, help to work hard and achieve the dream. Although ambition has a dark side, I believe, within the limit, ambition is a driving force towards success.

However, there are so many benefits of having a prompt ambition. An ambition is good in every aspects of human’s being live. Firstly, being ambitious means understanding that we have abilities and we can become better. Proper plans help us to make out paths for success in our personal, family, or professional lives. For instance, an ambition of becoming a doctor, make people to realize the skills need for it and work hard to fulfill it. Secondly, it teaches resilience. When problems arise, ambitious people find a way to overcome it. Thirdly, being ambitious makes us be adaptable and be tolerant. To brake a record, one should word hard even in the bad climate. Lastly, a goal in good sense does not have to mean a solidarity end. It can be a vision for a city, the elemination of a disease, or the improvement of a community.

 An ambition can courage us to be more confident. An honest man cannot leave a blind eye on corruption, which otherwise provide him a huge sum of money as bribe. Additionally, it can block out human feelings such as friendship, compassion, respect for other, and may leave them soliraty. For instance, people who want power and money at any cost; neglect the needs of their friends, the reward will be often loneliness.

Ambition is antisocial and outmoded, belonging to an age when individualism was more valued and useful than it is today. The person strongly imbued with ambition ignores the collectivity; socially detached, he is on his own and out for his own. Individuality and ambition are firmly linked. The ambitious individual, far from identifying himself and his fortunes with the group, wishes to rise above it. Ambition causes rivalrousness. The ambitious man or woman sees the world as a battle; rivalrousness is his or her pricipal emotion.

. The outcome of ambition is unpredictable. Some ambitions begin in selflessness end in rancor; others begun in selfishness end in large-heartedness. Ambition is sometimes uncontrollable. Some people cannot handle ambition; it may bring grief to others. Ambition is jesuitical. To be the winners in a battle-like world, the ambitious people may clamber up by fair means or foul. Ambitious people may achieve their goals of money, fame, and power through corruption.

To begin with anything, which is in an excess is good for nothing. It is applicable to ambition also. Ambition is often associated with negative characteristics such as greed, intolerance, power and so on. People that have over ambitious can make their life break. Sometimes, they can not think well or positive, can be arrogant, and it will be dangerous for themselves. For becoming a wealthy man within a short time, force people to resort unfair means to heap wealth. It is also linked with ruthlessness.

In short, ambition is often potrayed negatively. I think without ambition our life become mechanical, and meaningless. I believe, ambition is a driving force towards success. We need to create ambitions, and enjoy the better present and future. At the same time, we should not be over ambitious.
